Robert Ottenhoff
President and Chief Executive Officer
As GuideStar's president and CEO, Bob is responsible for the strategic execution of the GuideStar mission, fundraising to support this mission, and is the liaison with GuideStar's board of directors. Bob has 25 years of management experience in public broadcasting and high-tech companies, including 9 years as chief operating officer of the Public Broadcasting Service. He currently serves on the board of Vision TV, Grameen Foundation USA, AAFRC Trust for Philanthropy, and the e-Philanthropy Foundation. Bob holds a master's degree in planning from Rutgers University.
Lee Glenn
Senior Vice President
Lee is Senior Vice President for GuideStar. In this position, Lee is responsible for all aspects of GuideStar's strategic planning for business purposes, technology and the development of next-generation products and services to meet the growing needs of GuideStar's current and future clients. Lee has more than 20 years of broad-based experience in sales and marketing management, strategic planning, business development and product development in emerging markets. Lee has held leadership positions with nationally recognized companies Yahoo!, AOL, Boston Scientific, Church & Dwight (Arm & Hammer) and SmithKline Beecham. Lee holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary and serves as trustee for The College of William and Mary Athletic Education Foundation.
James Dobrzeniecki
Vice President, Information Technology
Jim oversees GuideStar's Information Technology Department. He has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of telecommunications, technical systems management, and applications development. Before joining GuideStar, Jim served as the vice president of Technical Operations for DS3 Data Vaulting, a start-up company specializing in off-site, on-line network backup; as chief information officer for McGuire Woods LLP, an international law firm based in Richmond, Virginia; and the Southeast regional vice president of operations for Systems and Computer Technology in Malvern, Pennsylvania. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Management Science and an M.B.A., both from Kent State University.
Chuck McLean
Vice President, Research
Chuck was a founding employee of GuideStar. He is currently responsible for conducting research for GuideStar and customers interested in data about the nonprofit sector. He also works to identify new data sources and ways to present data effectively to GuideStar users. Chuck produces the annual GuideStar Compensation Report, which analyzes the salary and benefits of thousands of nonprofits throughout the country. He has 15 years of experience as a teacher and researcher in various institutions of higher education. Chuck serves on the advisory committee of the National Center for Charitable Statistics. A graduate of Christopher Newport University, Chuck also received an M.S. degree in mathematics from the College of William and Mary.
Dan Moore
Vice President, Public Affairs
Dan is responsible for increasing business and collaborative opportunities with government agencies at the federal, state, and local levels and with certain national nonprofit organizations. He is currently overseeing the launch of Gov@GuideStar, a new service designed specifically for government decision makers. Dan is also overseeing efforts to provide access to GuideStar data to universities and colleges for use in the classroom and for uncompensated research through our Edu@GuideStar program. Before joining GuideStar, Dan was a chief law enforcement official overseeing charitable organizations in the Attorney General's Office in the State of New Mexico. He is a past president of the National Association of State Charity Officials (NASCO) and is a nationally recognized expert on nonprofit accountability. He holds a bachelor's degree from Miami University and a master’s degree from the University of New Mexico.
Debra Snider
Vice President, Administration and Communications
Debra manages GuideStar's branding and communication efforts and oversees the operations of GuideStar’s corporate offices in Williamsburg, VA. She is also responsible for coordinating GuideStar's nonprofit and customer service activities as well as oversight of the GuideStar Web site. Debra has 25 years' experience in the communications field, having worked for Gannett, Inc. and a number of catalog companies and public relation firms. Before joining GuideStar, she served as an elected school board member in upstate New York. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University.
